Article Review

    John Branch, a winner of the Pulitzer Prize, is a wonderful writer who doesn't leave anything unturned, and truly makes you feel the subjects emotions. In his feature story he highlights the tale of a group of skiers who experience the horror of an avalanche. The author argues throughout the article that it is a terrifying experience, but if you take the right steps you can increase your odds of survival.  Going off of that he also argues how avalanches aren't something that is a rare anomaly, one can happen any time. He argues this by stating through a story how gear is an important part, and there is even a whole section for which they gear up. The argument of avalanches is further argued by showing how easy the conditions are to reproduce, using a graphic. The graphics and evidence are very well executed, adding to the professional look of the article.  The strength of this article is for sure its detail and explanation. Nothing is left untold as he details the story and you can almost feel as if you are in the position of the characters. Plus it really helps you to understand the points made. As a student in video this really is a great example when writing feature story. This kind of detail is truly amazing and can help people in the future with ways to detail a story. In conclusion it was a masterful piece and was truly a great read. Go check it out here, in my opinion you won't regret reading it.

Social Media Posts and the Effect

      In our e-comm class we have started a new quarter. In this quarter which is quarter 2, we are jumping into animation. I am super excited. I love animation and cant wait to get started. The Plausible impossible

    In the world of animation, there is the power to make impossible things seem very plausible. This affect is achieved by taking real world scenes and possibly scenarios and then applying unreal scenarios to them. I will explain this by using the The Mountain, by Disney studios. In this film it takes a plausible scene, such as a mountain town, and adds a very impossible theme such as gouls. In this scene you notice one blaring thing first. The noose. The noose shows that this scene is taking place in around the 1800's and based upon the town itself it is the late 1800's after the first industrial revolution.  So that shows that it is a very plausible place an time, but thats when you notice the impossible.
